Description

The GAD65 Antibody Test detects antibodies against the glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 enzyme. These antibodies are associated with autoimmune conditions, particularly type 1 diabetes and certain neurological autoimmune disorders. The test may support the investigation of suspected autoimmune diabetes, including latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA), and selected neurological conditions. Results should be interpreted with clinical symptoms, glucose-related investigations and other relevant antibody tests.
