HLAB27 PCR (QUALITATIVE)

Description

HLA-B27 PCR (Qualitative) is a molecular diagnostic test used to detect the presence or absence of the HLA-B27 genetic marker in a blood sample. HLA-B27 is strongly associated with certain autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, particularly ankylosing spondylitis and other spondyloarthropathies. This test uses PCR-based molecular technology to identify the HLA-B27 genetic sequence and can support clinical evaluation when symptoms such as chronic back pain, joint inflammation, or suspected spondyloarthritis are present. The test should be interpreted along with clinical findings and other investigations.
